Mount Shishabangma is the only 8,000-meter peak located entirely within China. It is surrounded by dozens of snow peaks exceeding 6,000 meters. Massive modern glaciers extend from its slopes, and among the most captivating sights are the ice pagodas at the glacier's lower reaches, forming a silent yet magnificent "ice crystal forest."
